English Women's County Finals

Norfolk Ladies Congratulate the Surrey Team on winning the England Golf County Finals.

Our Team again returned to County Finals, this year held at Selby Golf Club. Our Norfolk Team represented our County with pride and played some spectacular golf against some strong opposition on the national stage. We were a small tight team but one full of grit, determination and passion. 

The Team had some close matches throughout the event with the highlights being a draw against Northumberland and finishing on a high with a 3.5-1.5 victory against Somerset. Every member of the team played their part and we celebrated Ruby Patterson (Royal Cromer) being awarded her County Colours after she secured her 6th County Match win. 

On behalf of all the Team we would like to thank Norfolk for the support we have had this week…

- Our fabulous caddies who traveled and walked every step of the fairway with us and volunteered their time to support us….you know who you are. 

- To all of the ladies and clubs who sent us cards- our table was definitely one of the fullest and it was lovely opening them as a team. 

- To all of you who have sent us messages via WhatsApp and via social media. The well wishes mean so much and really do spur us on. 

- To Judith (Royal Cromer) Saturday’s hot chocolates were a treat during the washout. 

- To Pam and David Ryston Park Golf Club, Margaret and Mr Baxter Royal Cromer Golf Club and Helen Thetford Golf Club thank you for making the trip to Selby to come and see us- we were all so touched. 

Finally we are grateful for the support from Adrian Flux our sponsor this year. 

As a Team we have had a wonderful 2025 and have relished the opportunity to compete at the highest level of County Golf. Personally as a Captain I am privileged and grateful to be part of this special Team.
